Security & Privacy Details

Updated: March 15, 2026

1. Local processing

Video and audio data are processed locally in your browser. BrowserCut does not upload media files to its own servers.

2. Blob URL lifecycle

Temporary object URLs are centrally managed and revoked during cleanup (unmount/navigation).

3. CSP and cross-origin isolation

The Content Security Policy restricts external resources. COOP/COEP is applied only on editor routes to enable SharedArrayBuffer for FFmpeg.wasm.

4. Consent-gated third parties

Analytics and advertising are loaded only after explicit user consent.

5. Verify it yourself

Open DevTools → Network tab and import a file. You should not see uploads of your video data to BrowserCut servers.
